Jakob Cedergren
Jakob Cedergren is an acclaimed and award winning Swedish-born Danish actor. He has worked in numerous Scandinavian and International film, TV and theatre projects. After his big breakthrough in the Danish mini-series The Spider , he performed leading roles in Stealing Rembrandt (2003) and Dark Horse (2005), which was chosen for the Un Certain Regard series at Cannes Film Festival. Cedergren received much praise for his leading roles in Thomas Vinterberg’s Submarino in 2011 and Nils Malmros’ Sorrow and Joy in 2014. In 2018, Cedergren played the leading role in Gustav Möller’s thriller The Guilty . For this achievement Cedergren won the Danish Academy Award for Best Actor. The Guilty premiered at Sundance Film Festival 2018 and won The Audience Award in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition.
Vincent Macaigne
Vincent Macaigne entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris in 1999. He created his first play Friche 22.66 , at the age of 26. He directed his first medium-length film Ce qu’il restera de nous , which was awarded at Clermont-Ferrand in 2012 and was nominated for a César for Best Short Film. He made his first feature film Pour le réconfort , which was screened in Cannes in 2017. As an actor, he has appeared in Justine Triet’s La Bataille de Solférino, Antonin Peretjatko’s La Fille du 14 juillet and Toledano and Nakache’s Le Sens de la fête ; these last two films have earned him two César nominations. In 2018, he played in Doubles Vies by Olivier Assayas. Soon, he will be alongside Catherine Deneuve in Cédric Kahn’s Fête de Famille and will play in Wes Anderson’s The French Dispatch .
Nadia Kaci
Nadia Kaci, a French-Algerian humanistic and committed actress, kick-started her career in Merzak Allouache’s Bab El Oued City in 1994 (an Algerian cult film). Favourite actress of Nadir Moknèche (Le harem de Madame Osmane, Viva Laldjérie, Délice Paloma, Lola Pater), she starred in films by Bertrand Tavernier (Ça commence aujourd’hui), Jean-Pierre Sinapi (Nationale 7), Jean-Pascal Hattu (7 ans), Bertrand Bonello (Tiresia), Lotfi Bouchouchi (Le Puits), Rayhana (A mon âge je me cache encore pour fumer), Karim Moussaoui (En attendant les Hirondelles , Cannes 2017), Sofia Djama (Les Bienheureux) and Mounia Meddour (Papicha, Cannes 2019). Also an author and actress in theatre, Nadia expresses her commitment in her theatrical (Femmes en quête de terres) and literary (Laissées pour mortes) works.
David Oelhoffen
With his short film Sous le bleu , David Oelhoffen already received considerable praise during the 2006 César ceremony. But in 2007, he ended up in the premier league: he was selected for the Critics’ Week in Cannes with In Your Wake, featuring the moving duo Jacques Gamblin and Nicolas Giraud. He then directed Far from Men with Viggo Mortensen and Reda Kateb, which partook in the competition at the Mostra 2014 in Venice, and in 2018 Close Enemies with Matthias Schoenaerts and Reda Kateb, also in competition in Venice. As a screenwriter, he has worked on films such as Frédéric Tellier’s SK1 and Safy Nebbou’s In the Forests of Siberia .
Esther Garrel
At almost 17, Esther Garrel got a part in Christophe Honoré's La Belle Personne. In 2011, she acted in 17 filles, directed by Delphine and Muriel Coulin, a film based on true events that occurred in 2008 when young girls decided to become pregnant at the same time. In 2013, she was the lead in Jeunesse, by Justine Malle. After La Jalousie (2013), she reunited in 2017 with her father Philippe Garrel for the drama L'Amant d'un jour, to play the role of a young woman who comes back to her father's house after a break-up. In 2018, Esther Garrel was in two international features: Call me by your name, the multi-awarded and highly acclaimed movie directed by Luca Guadagnino, and Nathan Silver's Thirst Street. She will soon be in the Adventures of a Mathematician, directed by Thorstein Klein and Sister in Arm, a feature by Caroline Fourest.

Agnès Godard
A graduate from the IDHEC in 1979 in the cinematography section, Agnès Godard became camera assistant and then camera operator in the 1980’s. Since 1990, she works as a cinematographer. She worked with Claire Denis, Agnès Varda, Wim Wenders, Peter Greenaway, Noémie Lvovsky, Catherine Corsini, Tonie Marshall, Ursula Meier, André Téchiné, Peter Handke, Claude Berry, Emmanuele Crialese, Erick Zonca, Fabrice Gobert, Emmanuelle Bercot... She was awarded with a Cesar for Best Cinematography and a Prize for Best Cinematographer at the National Society of Film Critics for her work on Beau Travail, directed by Claire Denis. She also received many awards for her whole body of work, including the Chlotudris (Boston) in 2010, the special award of the CST in 2009 and the Marbourg Kamera Preiz in 2012. In 2013, she won the Special Camera 300 at the Manaki Brother Festival.
Guillaume Senez
Guillaume Senez est né à Bruxelles en 1978. Il est l’auteur de plusieurs courts métrages sélectionnés et primés dans de nombreux festivals : La Quadrature du Cercle (2005), Dans nos veines (2009) et U.H.T. (2012). En 2016 sort son premier long métrage, Keeper qui est sélectionné dans plus de 70 festivals (dont Toronto, Locarno, Angers – Grand Prix du Jury, etc.) et reçoit plus d’une vingtaine de prix (dont 3 Magritte du cinéma). Nos batailles , sélectionné à la Semaine de la Critique (Cannes 2018), est son deuxième long-métrage. Le film est sélectionné dans plus de 50 festivals à travers le monde, nommé 2 fois aux César, et récipiendaire de 5 Magritte du cinéma (dont le Magritte du meilleur film).
Fien Troch
Fien Troch, born in Belgium in 1978, is a left field film director and screenwriter whose talent was awarded many times. After graduating from Sint Lukas Academy in 2000, she shot her debut feature in 2005 Someone else’s happiness. Shown around the world (Toronto, San Sebastian, Rotterdam) it won several awards. Fien’s second project, Unspoken was selected for the Cinefondation in 2007 and stars Emmanuelle Devos and Bruno Todeschini. Kid , in 2012, won the Eurimages Award for most promising project. Home, in 2016, won the Lion for Best Director at the Orizzonti section of Venice Film Festival.
Hubert Charuel
Born in the east of France in 1985, Hubert Charuel grew up in an agricultural environment in a family of dairy farmers. After studying and graduating from La Fémis Film School in 2011, he co-writes and directs three shorts, Diagonale du vide, his graduation film, in 2011, K-Nada in 2014 and Fox-terrier in 2017, all three selected and awarded at many festivals. All his projects were co-written with Claude Le Pape. In 2016, he co-writes and directs Petit paysan , his first feature film, distinguished at the Critics’ Week of the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. He obtained three Valois at the 2017 Angoulême Francophone Film Festival and three César in 2018. He has just finished his new documentary, Les Vaches n’auront plus de nom, which looks back at the time when his parents sold their farm.
Nicolas Maury
A graduate at the Conservatoire National of Bordeaux, then the CNSAD in Paris, Nicolas Maury worked with several great stage directors (Daniel Mesguich, Robert Cantarella, Florence Giorgetti and Catherine Hiegel). Devoted to auteur cinema, he also worked with Patrice Chéreau, Philippe Garrel, Olivier Assayas, Rebecca Zlotowski, Valéria Bruni Tedeschi, Riad Sattouf, Michaël Buch (for which he was nominated for the César for Most Promising Actor), Yann Gonzalez and recently with Pascal Bonitzer, Erwan Le Duc and Julien Rambaldi. It is with the role of Hervé AndréJesack in the series Dix pour cent in 2015 that he became known to a larger audience. He will soon direct his first feature film Garçon Chiffon.

Susana Santos Rodrigues
Zimbabwe-born Portuguese film curator, project analyst and distributor, living in between Europe and Latin America. Latin America and Portugal curator delegate to Karlovy Vary Int’l Film Festival and to Cinéma du Réel. Programming advisor to the Bildrausch FilmFest Basel and member of the selection committees of the Rio de Janeiro Int’l Film Festival, and of the Hubert Bals Fund as well as international consultant to the Doha Film Institute. Co-founder of the distribution and production outfit VAIVEM, active in Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Portugal.
Anne Delseth
She joined the Directors’ Fortnight selection committee at Cannes in 2012 and the selection committee of the Locarno International Film Festival in 2018. She directs the HEAD (Geneva) and ECAL Master’s in Film Studies in Lausanne, where she also runs an art house cinema. Delseth is also a consultant for the Neuchâtel Fantastic Film Festival and the Ulaanbaatar International Film Festival. Anne Delseth worked for the Fribourg International Film Festival and as a production assistant on films by Ursula Meier and Jean-Stéphane Bron. From 2008 to 2011, she was assistant the artistic director of the Fribourg Festival and in 2011 started working in international sales at Urban Distribution.
Cédric Pourcher
Cedric Pourcher has been an independent talent manager for 20 years. He joined the team of the Cineart agency in Paris in 2017. He is currently representing more than a hundred talents (directers, writers, actors) in France and abroad in the cinematographic, TV and theatrical fields.
Youth Jury
A jury of 5 European youngsters aged from 19 to 22 years old will watch all the films selected in the Director’s Week competition and deliberate to decide which one will receive the European Young Jury Award at the closing ceremony on 29 June.
