Maman a tort

Marc Fitoussi was born in 1974. After studying English and Art History, he quickly turned to cinema. He began at the Conservatoire Européen d’Ecriture Audiovisuelle as a screenwriter, and then he studied mise-en-scène and cast direction in the US. He started his career with various short movies. In 2005, his medium length movie Bonbon au poivre was nominated at the Césars awards. In 2006, he directed a documentary L’éducation anglaise and then, in 2007, he started the adventure of his first feature film, La Vie d’artiste, recipient of the Michel d’Ornano prize. Later, he shot Copacabana (2010) starring Isabelle Huppert and her daughter, Lolita Chammah. The film was selected at the Semaine de la Critique in Cannes. Then, Sandrine Kiberlain starred in his detective comedy Pauline Détective (2012). In 2014, he reunited with Isabelle Huppert for La Ritournelle, which also featured Jean-Pierre Daroussin. In 2016, Marc Fitoussi directed Maman a tort, starring Emilie Dequenne and Jeanne Jestin. In 2018, he also directed 3 episodes of the third season of Call My Agent (Dix pour cent), as well as a part of the film Selfie. His last feature Valses de Vienne will be released soon.
