Emilie Dequenne was born in Belgium in 1981. She got her first role in Rosetta from the Dardenne Brothers for which she earned the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival in 1999. In 2001, with Le Pacte des loups, directed by Christophe Gans, she won the Prix de l’Espoir Feminin (Female Rising Star Award) at the Cabourg Festival. Then, in 2012, she was awarded with the Prix d’Interprétation “Un Certain Regard” for her performance in A Perdre la Raison, directed by Joachim Lafosse. Emilie Dequenne starred in films by Philippe Lioret, Claude Berri, André Téchiné, Eric Rochant, Albert Dupontel, Pierre Jolivet or Lucas Belveaux. She also starred in TV Shows by Marion Vernoux, Vincent Lannoo, Yann Samuell, Eléonore Faucher… In 2019, you will see her in the mini-series Un Homme Parfait as well as the movie Je ne rêve que de toi, directed by Laura Heyne.
