Emilie Dequenne

Happy Birthday Emilie !

Thanks to her aunt who noticed the ad in a newspaper, Emilie Dequenne went to the casting call for Rosetta. Almost as determined as the main character, she earned the title role, at only 17 years-old. The fairy tale was only beginning: she received the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival in 1999 for her performance. 20 years later, The Girl on the Train, La Fille du RER, is honouring us with her presence at the BRIFF, to blow the candles of the first success of her acting career and of the Palme d’Or for Rosetta, surrounded by Fabrizio Rongione and the Dardenne Brothers. In addition, she is offering us an amazing gift: the best of her filmography.
