Costa-Gavras, guest of honour

The Brussels International Film Festival (BRIFF) taking place from the 3rd to the 13th of September 2020 is please d to announce that Costa-Gavras will be the guest of honour of its 3rd edition.

Filmmaker of questioning, of opposition to the established order, of political courage, Costa-Gavras will be the guest of the 3rd edition of the Brussels International Film Festival – BRIFF.

“Z”, “L’Aveu”, “Etat de siège”, “Missing”, “Amen”, “Le Couperet”, “Adults in the Room”… To name but a few of the 20 titles in his filmography. All major actors in Europe and America have played in the films of award-winning Costa-Gavras (one Palme d’or, two Oscars, one Golden Bear, one Cesar) : from Dustin Hoffman to John Travolta, as well as Jack Lemmon, Sissy Spacek, Ulrich Tukur, Matthieu Kassovitz, Olivier Gourmet, Jessica Lange, Catherine Allégret, Simone Signoret, Michel Piccoli, Yves Montand, Charles Denner, Jean-Louis Trintignant, Jean-Claude Brialy, Michel Piccoli, Jacques Perrin, Charles Denner, André Dussollier, Pierre Arditi, and more recently José Garcia, Karin Viard, Gad Elmaleh, Natacha Régnier, Céline Sallette, Hippolyte Girardot, …
